We are currently looking for a QA Supervisor Games in Montreal,

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Engaging internal and external teams on variations of test strategy and planning
  • Uses, develops and defines the baseline requirement for test strategy, planning and execution
  • Engaging internal and external teams on variations of test strategy and planning
  • Driving continuous improvement of practices and processes. Presents internally and externally on craft improvements and opportunities
  • Invest deeply in customer culture and help guide their product vision.
  • Oversees and executes performance reviews as necessary
  • Ensure assigned projects are operating to KPI and budgets
  • Identifying and communicating operational risk and risk mitigation
  • Coordinating initial project setup and the ramping up/down of resource needs
  • Work with recruitment team on staffing needs based on client requirements
  • Coordinate with other VMC managers to provide customer with additional services as needed
  • Nurtures and grows relationship with assigned clients
  • Day-to-day management and mentoring of other Seniors and Test Leads
  • Primary point of contact and owner of reporting on high-level project status to assigned clients, including the coordination and development of Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Business Reviews
  • Responsible for providing the day to day management of test team including creation of career paths for high performers and PIPs for those not meeting role expectations.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable, passionate and committed to the video games industry
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to successfully interface with clients
  • Deep understanding of games and/or software QA processes
    • Knowledge of Agile Development practices and methodologies
  • Experience with scheduling, forecasting and test planning
  • Have minimum of 5 years of experience in either game development or games QA with proven leadership experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and MS Project tools
  • Show flexibility and a passion to learn new thing
  • Proven ability to manage projects of varying sizes
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Be able to multitask and perform well in a high pressure situation
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with other service groups
  • Knowledge of databases such as JIRA.

 

 

Additional

  • Show literacy/competence in programming languages
  • Some experience in digital art & animation.
