Software testers are responsible for directly following up with product features for testing, verification, and responding to requests from the Developer Team. You will become a knowledge base for your product area and able to understand the ins-and-outs of how the feature should work, and that it launches on time with fewest issues possible. This role revolves around the testing of Animation and Rigging Software.

Frostbite Engine

As part of the Frostbite team, you are responsible for the complete ownership of Quality of your assigned feature. From testing to documentation writing, you will be responsible for the implementation of your feature into the Frostbite Engine as a whole. This team does not create or design games. This team focus is on Software Testing and Quality Assurance.


  • Maintain an expert knowledge base on your team’s assigned feature while working to understand the game engine as a whole
  • Writing and maintaining Test Cases in programs like Test Rail, JIRA, or DevTrack
  • Advocate for Quality on a team of inter-disciplinary professionals
  • Able to speak to technical and non-technical audiences to explain complex issues
  • Create and maintain documentation for your feature area
  • Maintaining Excel sheets through use of formulas and functions
  • Pulling and merging branches in Source Control software like Perforce
  • Troubleshooting PC issues
  • Detecting issues/bugs and reporting to Development partners
  • Take ownership of Bug Database in DevTrack, JIRA, or Asana
  • Create and maintain documentation in wiki format
  • Present information/knowledge to other team members – this can be in person, presentation form or via conference
  • Provide training for new QA members from other areas of the project
  • Maintain the Quality Assurance pipeline from discovery through a fix to regression verification
  • Create and follow Test Plans and Verifications
  • Provide Qualitative feedback regarding the product
  • Follow up with development and testing partners to ensure bugs are being logged and resolved


  • Quality Assurance experience in software development
    • Understands and uses best practices
    • Strong command of the Quality Assurance process
    • Ability to break-down complex issues
    • Ability to communicate valuable information to Development and partners
  • 1+ years of experience working with Animation / Rigging software.
    • Utilizing programs like Maya, Blender, 3DS Max, etc.
  • 2-years’ experience working at software development company
  • Previous experience in a Scrum/Agile environment
  • Experience with Bug Tracking software such as Test Rail, JIRA, Bugzilla, DevTrack
  • Source Control software like Perforce
    • Understands key elements like depots, workspaces, shelves, client spec
    • Understands the Build process
  • Proficient with PC usage
    • Windows Command Line
    • Understand scripts like .bat files
  • Proficient using MS Office Suites
    • Microsoft Excel formulas, functions, and pivots
  • Writing and modifying Test Cases
  • Software Installation and testing
  • Team Oriented
  • Can adjust to changing parameters with limited notice
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to meet responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to notice errors and provide accurate information at all times


  • Familiar with current generation consoles (Xbox One, PS4, etc.)
  • Familiar with game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine.
